How to add and commit specific file changes in Git?

Solution
git add <file_path> followed by git commit -m "your message". For specific lines within a file, use git add -p.

Instead of using git add . which stages everything, naming the file ensures only that file is included. Using the -p (patch) flag is even more granular, letting you review and stage individual "hunks" of code within a single file.
